Floriade is Australia’s biggest flower festival held in Canberra during the October school holidays. This year the weather was pretty rubbish for the whole 2 week holiday period, temperatures hovered around 13 Celcius and there were lots of rainy days, so we didn’t do our usual picnic in the sun at Floriade this year. I still wanted to go though to take photos of the beautiful blooms, so on the very last day we braved the cold wind (keep in mind it’s spring here! you wouldn’t think so from my posts recently…) and went to Commonwealth Park.
I’m glad we did as I love some of the closeups I got of colourful petals. Continue reading to see lots of bright and happy (and a little bit wet) blooms…
