We have a pretty full weekend planned this week, starting tomorrow (Friday!) with a road trip to Sydney for our good friends’ wedding. This wedding is going to be fabulous and amazing, Beck has excellent taste, and she’s chosen to have a formal wedding on a pier on Darling Harbour and then the reception at a classy restaurant. I shared her handmade invitations on my blog earlier. They are also having a casual BBQ the day following the wedding (a fantastic new trend that we also chose to do after our wedding, it’s a great way to spend a bit more time with the closest of your friends and family).

When we finally got around to booking accommodation for the weekend, we found out that it’s actually Mardi Gras weekend! So we’ve decided to stay for the Saturday night also (though there seems to be almost no rooms available in Sydney for the Saturday night, so we’re crashing on a friends floor) and let out hair down for that… I’ve never been to the Mardi Gras but have always wanted to go, I think it will be a fab night out!
