It’s Christmas Eve! We’ve just finished up Christmas #1, which I’ll post about later, but for now I’d like to share a few of our Chrissy decorations and also how I’ve wrapped some of my presents.
I wanted to be a little bit creative with wrapping this year (though, as with most things, I got bored and gave up half way through), so went with simple red and white polka-dot wrapping paper, tied with white lace elastic and finished with a green felt tree. It turned out ok, nothing breath-taking, but I think they look cute.

Our decorations are fairly simple again this year, I tried to stick to a theme of Silver, Purple and Teal (I always seem to be drawn to these colours!) but abandoned the “theme” for the tree, as all the ornaments are such a mix anyway. Here’s the entry, which I think is really pretty:

Some lovely Chrissy Cards I received this year, from nice people at work and some good friends:

Santa, just hanging out:

Our living room, with the tree (before I “fixed” it, it just wasn’t quite right, but we made it perfect, more photos in my proper Christmas posts soon) and stockings hanging:

The serving table centerpiece – I was eyeballing these funky tree table toppers in Myer a few weeks ago, but they were $30ea. Lucky for me, I happened to find some just a bit smaller at Spotlight for $5ea, and at 50% off! I popped 2 in a glass dish with some black rocks and small silver bauble garland, and finished it off with some small bauble ornaments. The Table runner is also from Spotlight (an earlier find, the same as in the entry photo):

I’m really looking forward to giving all my gifts tomorrow, I hope everyone likes them! Though I do long for the days when Christmas really seemed magical and utterly exciting, only about 20 years ago O.o
Merry Christmas everyone! xo
