What makes me happy? An organised space to complete a DIY project. Which is NOT what I have at the moment… I really need to get cracking on getting things sorted around here. Because I have a new makeover project to do, which is going to be really fun*, but I want to get some clearing out done first. SO. This weekend, I’m going to paint the damn spare room doors. No trims, they’re in the CBF basket at the moment. Then I’m going to tidy up the study, and re-organise some of the shelves. Then I’m going to devise a plan of attack for the laundry. It need’s a $100 makeover. Ideas anyone?? I’ll post pics soon.
Today I stayed back at work and helped with a little working bee to help Kate clear out the art space for Open Night at the School. Wowser. There were 7 of us lifting, shifting, chucking (and possibly hoarding, if you are me)… I came away with a brown and gold frame (which I’ll paint white and stick a mirror in), a heavy glazed ceramic bowl (thanks art students, this is going to be my dogs water bowl), a big cork board (which I am going to paint and attach my market banner to), and a semi-dead large yukka (which I am leaving in an out-of-the-way and sheltered spot outside and just hoping for the best). Big haul!
*The other day I brought home an old yukky orange plastic chair that was in the hopper at school. Sounds like a silly idea, but I’m going to paint it white on one side and blue on the other, and it’s going to look amazing. Eames’esque it will be. Stay tuned!

Oh my god TELL me about it! My worst thing now is that I need several spaces for my jewellery bench, for writing, for sewing… too many things! Argh!
Would love to see photos when the space is ready! I’m such a sticky beak!
