DIY drawer organiser

As promised, photos of DIY projects completed over the weekend!

In a previous post I talked about the cool drawer organiser that I was going to try my hand at. Originally it was going to be an organiser for ribbon spools (as the inspiration was), but I have 3 drawers to work with and I decided the first was going to be a rack / organiser for all my Madly Deeply Jewellery (now re-branded as JUNO, read about it here), which can now also double as a pretty earring stand when I eventually get a stall at the Kingston & Handmade markets.

This is how it turned out:

3 drawer bedside table I picked up from Aussie Junk in Mitchell for $10 (top drawer is the one I used)

You can find the whole set of images from start to finish in my DIY Drawer Organiser Flickr Set.

I also made a bunch of cute button magnets from some bright buttons I found at Lincraft in Civic (I thought there would be more cool buttons there, the range seems a bit limited…?) to sell at the markets also, but I’m going to keep a set for myself because I really like them =)

Other than that, the majority of my weekend was taken up coding a static html site for Just Details into a wordpress theme. I’m pretty excited about launching the site now! It’s going to go live before December =D

  3. Awesome, I might borrow this idea for organising my own jewellery. It’s a fracking mess right now and this looks cute.

  5. I love the draw organiser , what a brilliant idea. I just bought a wine rack from a charity shop to hang my bracelets on when I take them to fares to sell. It’s waves of metal rather than circles which should work OK.
