I’m really excited to be launching my other side project soon, www.justdetails.net. It’s going to be a “Wedding services and guide for brides” website, dedicated to the Canberra region. Usually my projects are always global, reaching out to a market worldwide. This time I’ve decided to keep it local, to promote small businesses competing with the big boys in this fierce industry. Canberra actually has a lot to offer and you don’t always have to go interstate or abroad to find what you need, you just need to dig a little deeper. Which is what I plan to do for the Brides-to-be of Canberra, listing some great resources and design and photography services provided by moi.

I plan to have a Featured Wedding each month (or week, depending on the number of submissions) showcasing the work of Canberra photographers, florists, cake makers, decorators and anyone else involved in the wedding process. The idea will be to promote those businesses with 5 or less staff, to really get them out there and show off what they can do!

I also hope to have a friend of mine write regular monthly guest articles on fashion and styling, with great finds around Canberra for all those events leading up to a wedding, and for the big day itself.

There will also be all my DIY Bride projects that I’ve blogged about here, and links to other tips and tutorials from other crafty brides. The site will of course be image heavy, as is this one! I love the wedding eye candy almost as much as real candy…
