Even though I’m a design teacher, my “office” is actually in the maths staffroom at work, because my level 2 is head of the maths and technology faculty. Yes, it’s confusing. I get asked at least once a week why I’m in there. I have a sign stuck up behind me that says “It sounds like English, but I have no idea what you’re saying”… I’m not very maths minded. So I visit the arts staffroom a lot! They are all lovely and very fun, and most importantly, feed me with yummy food (I also love living in the maths staffroom, just a different bunch of people. Both are loved equally).
For every birthday in the staffroom (or related staffroom member, ie me), we have bagels for lunch. Everyone brings an ingredient, Lisa (arts level 2) bakes a totally scrumptious cake, and we have a lovely time stuffing our faces with smoked salmon, creme cheese, avocados and tomato on bagels.
TODAY WAS THAT DAY. And it was awesome. Yes I get excited about food.
The following photos were taken on my measly little point and shoot, but it did me proud today.
