The other day I tried my hand at baking some Christmas cookies to give as gifts this year, and I must say they turned out pretty cute!
I just used a simple butter biscuit/cookie recipe and cut out circles and star shapes using standard cookie cutters. My initial idea was to create little Christmas trees by stacking the star shapes on top of each other, but my trees turned out a bit squat. Nevermind, they are still tasty! Fairly plain though, I wish I had popped some choc chips into the mixture before baking them.
I used a liquid icing in a tube and coloured chocolate ball sprinkly things to decorate them, then wrapped them in cellophane and tied with ribbon. Pretty easy!
