While on holiday at the South Coast this weekend, I was away from the computer long enough to get started on my Goose & Gander project. The first things I am making are mini canvases with the Goose & Gander characters on them. I only took 4 canvases with me, otherwise I probably would have painted more. These are painted with Chromacryl Acrylics.

Henry the Hippopotamus

Lulu the Panda

Squirt the Octopus

Mini Canvases for Goose & Gander
The other characters of the group are Charlie the Penguin, Penelope the Cat, Ralph the Crab, Barney the Bear, Oliver the Pig, Daisy the Cow and Oscar the Dog. I will post again once I’ve finished them.
Other handmade goodies that will be in the Goose & Gander range will be buttons, magnets, kids t-shirts and hand printed fabrics. I’m hoping to have a stall at the Kingston Markets to sell these, along with other handmade goods (cards, buttons etc) and earrings from Madly Deeply. My aim is to have a stall within 6 months. We’ll see how I go! More trips to the beach are in order so I can make everything I think =)
What do you think of Henry, Lulu and Squirt?

Where the heck do you get time to do all this stuff? I wish I could be sure enough of myself to do things like this from home so that I wouldn’t need to have an office job. You’re my inspiration! Have a great week.

You can do it Sandra! My aim is to work from home permanently – eventually. I still work as a teacher and will for a few years yet. I need the regular income until I can build everything else up enough to do it full time.
