I find it really hard to buy anything over $100 if it’s not part of a plan (ie room makeover) or a gift. But if I could shake this frugal thinking, these are the first things I would go out and buy:
Roomba robot vacuum, would be great for my wooden floors that have doggie fur [...]
IndieSpotting is giving away one of my Yuzen Necklaces =)
Check out this unedited, lovely and fantastic sudsy love photo snapped by Lisa of The Red Thread this week.
Gorgeous!
Here are a few of my favourite things I came across on CraftGawker tonight. Such talented people out there!
Birdland Creations, handcrafted silver jewellery, Low cut knit dress by raghousenternational, Cute handbag by ChristianMarie, Mushroom Necklace by LuLuBug Jewelry, and Girl Illustration by Bellafonte.
I’ve recently fallen back in touch with someone I used to do web design for, the lovely and talented Elise of LeCoCo [portraits by Elise]. She was kind enough to link to me in her latest blog post, so I’d like to do the same! She also gave me fuel for todays post, and I [...]
I came across a link to the ACT Government initiative, Brilliant Idea via
Sorting through my archives today (still!) I came across this little gem, of a talented model named Jessie.

Striking, no?
I have a big bunch of blogs in my Google Homepage feed, but these are the ones I like to check on every day or so:
#1. The Happy Home – Belinda
Belinda’s blog is so inspirational, almost every single post has an idea in it that I want to try. She is really stylishly crafty, with [...]
These don’t really have a theme, just a couple of amazing things I’ve come by this week.

Welcome to my little corner of the blogosphere. I'm Mikaela, I am female, 25, married, and busy by choice. I love life and have too many ideas in my head, and wish there were more hours in the day (I'm sure old people always said that when I was growing up). I live in and love Canberra, Australia (2 hours to beach or snow, what more could you ask for?). For more about who I am and what I do, go to the about page =)

We had giant hamburgers for dinner. Bun, tomato sauce, mustard, cheese, hot chilli meat pattie, more cheese, pineapple, beetroot, tomato, lettuce, avocado, bun. YUM. Giant! I had two. See my last post about always eating too much.
Yesterday I was in Coles and saw this yummo looking Italian bread which inspired me to make Bruschetta as an entreĆ© to dinner last night. I forgot to get Olive Oil when I was there so had to improvise with peanut oil, but it wasn’t too bad. I buttered the bread (no oil, remember?), spread [...]
This is a recipe I sort of made up about 4 years ago. I think it’s probably based on something I had once and I just tried to remember the ingredients when putting it together. I’ve got it down to a fine art now, everyone loves this salad. It goes perfectly with snags and steak [...]
Before going to the coast last week I made 2 ribbon organiser boxes. One turned out really well, the other not so much. Here is the latter, made from an old tissue box. The reason I don’t like the end result is because the tissue box was too flimsy to begin with, the walls went a [...]
As promised, here are Girds’ and Harley’s new doggie beds! The reason I decided to make these is because their current beds are lumpy, big oofy pillows, with blankets on top. They take up far too much room in our bedroom, aren’t very portable, and are hard to wash. These beds, however, are the opposite [...]
Yesterday and today were spent putting my house back together, so I haven’t had a chance to complete the DIY projects I wanted to do today to show here. Hopefully I can finish the doggie beds tonight as well as at least start on my ribbon organiser… We’ll see how I go, I still have [...]
