I was just cropping and re-saving these photos to post here to show the progress of our bedroom makeover when I realised they are not really nice photos, the room is messy in almost all of them, and the bed linen doesn’t match, and (of course) the room isn’t totally finished. But you know what? [...]
While on holiday at the South Coast this weekend, I was away from the computer long enough to get started on my Goose & Gander project. The first things I am making are mini canvases with the Goose & Gander characters on them. I only took 4 canvases with me, otherwise I probably would have [...]
I have to say it, today was amazing. The South Coast of Australia is THE place to go. We spent most of the day on a great little beach at Broulee, with the dogs running around freely having a wee of a time. It wasn’t quite warm enough to swim (for the humans), but we went out on the Kayak, saw some dolphins, played fetch with the dogs and just relaxed, it was really great.
I did get sun burnt on the way home in the car though =[

1. The whole post in my first link is so true for me. Grover is the best, and I LOVE that book. Go check out the Crafty Grover Hand Puppet on Make and Takes
2. Interior Design – Kitchen makeover with before and after photos over at Design Sponge.
3. Bathroom cabinets and accessories from Ikea - I’ve decided to get these when we renovate our bathroom, it’s sort of modular but they look great when put together.
4. DIY Favour boxes on Twig and Thistle – these are a lovely design, I will be sharing this on the Just Details forums!
5. Dresser Drawer ribbon organisers on Mod Podge Rocks, which I posted about yesterday also.
Enjoy your weekend everyone, I’ll be back sunday night!
We just got home from a great birthday dinner with my parents, JA’s parents (mom & stepdad), Chloé & Scott and Miriam at Australian Pizza Kitchen in Civic. SO YUM. Very full now. JA and I both got half/half pizzas so we could share and have 4 different kinds of pizza each =) We had [...]
I’m a wannabe neat person. In actual fact, I’m a very messy person. I have to work hard at keeping things tidy and uncluttered, but that is one of my main house related aims in life at the moment. In fact, I really want to do a photograph walk through of my house to post [...]
Today is Melbourne Cup Day, a day usually spent at work, watching the horse races, participating in the sweeps, taking time out at 3pm to watch the main race, perhaps taking the day off and going to the Canberra races in a fancy frock and silly hat. The ACT government recently decided to make Melbourne Cup Day a public holiday (Family & Community day to be precise), so no longer do we socialise at work and watch the races, we do whatever we want! I’m not really interested in the race, I’m not a betting girl and I can never pick the winners anyway (going by their cool names instead of their track record isn’t a good strategy so far…), so instead of sitting in front f the telly or dressing up in fancy frocks, we spent the day on the lake.
My good friend Chloé and her partner Scott own a boat and all the fun stuff that goes with it, and because the weather was forecast to be 29C today they invited us out to Lake Good Hope (near Yass) for some water riding fun! It was an awesome day. We had fun trailing the boat on the innertube donut, the kneeboard, and Scott showed us his increasing talents on his wakeboard (I stuck to the donut because it was the easiest).
