Grief is a sneaky fucker… It comes up out of no where and knocks you off your feet.
Today that happened and it made me reflect on a few things, namely what has changed in my life since my sister passed away in 2005. Or more accurately, how I’ve changed.
Yesterday we went to the National Zoo and Aquarium in Canberra with some friends and watched one of them “Meet a Cheetah”, then went around to all the animals and said hello. Oh by the way, it was the coldest September day in Canberra in 40 years. Quite the chilly outing it was. But the animals must have liked the cold because they all came out and said hello and put on a bit of a show for us, so it was definitely worth braving the 8C degree weather with wind and rain and yukkiness.
